Bugs & Outages Analyst II Vacancy at Uber

Overview:

Uber is hiring an experienced Bugs & Outages Analyst II at their Hyderabad location. The Fix Experience is a global team that consists of Bug and Outage Specialists across the globe. The team serves two key functions while bridging the gap between our support and engineering organizations.

The complete details of this job are as follows:

Roles and responsibilities:

• Triage and call out reported bugs to Engineering
• Attempt to reproduce the issue, use key diagnostic dashboards and specific troubleshooting steps including runbooks to resolve validity of reports
• Identify team ownership and involve the accurate engineering resource
• If recognized as an outage page owner on-call engineer and be available to assist with debugging
• Build responses and support instructions for our all our support agents globally
• Identify and provide workarounds when applicable to minimize customer impact of live bugs/outages
• Apply deflection methods to improve customer experience during an outage
• T3 creation and management of prioritization and communication with appropriate engineering teams
• Provide regular tracking and reporting of all bug and outages that impact support metrics
• Process improvements for bug and outage reporting as the needs of the organization and the team evolve
• Maintain and continue to build our library of resources used while supporting outages
• Crisis response
• Receive pages for all crises that could potentially impact our users
• Settle potential user impact of a crisis
• If crisis is actionable advise partners and communicate our response to the crisis
• Outage Management and Reporting to all of CommOps

Basic Qualifications:

• End to end ownership of getting bugs resolved on a timely basis
• Proven Understanding of Uber Internal Tools will be an added advantage
• Problem Solving Mindset
