CBDT Enabled Excel Offline Utility for Preparing and Filing ITR-6 for AY 2022-23

The Central Board of Direct Taxes(CBDT) has enabled Excel Offline Utility for Preparing and Filing ITR-6 for AY 2022-23.

Excel offline Utility for preparing and filing ITR-6 for AY 2022-23 is released. Please click Downloads | Income Tax Department to access and download the same. Once prepared, you can upload the JSON at Income-tax website.

ITR 6 Form is to be furnished by the Companies to e-file the income tax returns if they are not claiming exemption under Section 11 of the Income Tax Act 1961. According to the income-tax rules, businesses that receive income from real estate kept for charity or religious purposes are eligible to claim an exemption under section 11 of the tax code.

As a result, organisations that do not assert an exemption under section 11 must file an ITR 6.

For Companies other than companies claiming exemption under section 11.
