CBI Apprehends Principal of Eklavya Model Residential School, Nuapada, for Demanding Rs 20,000 Bribe:

The CBI has arrested the principal of Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS), Nuapada, Odisha, in a Rs 20,000 bribery case.
Accused Principal of EMRS Is Under Arrest

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested the principal of Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS), Nuapada, Odisha, in connection with a bribery case.
In the present case, an instant case was registered on October 07, 2026, against the accused principal, following a complaint filed against him. The complainant had alleged that the accused demanded a bribe of Rs 20,000 for suggesting her name for the extension of her service in the role of Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM) in Eklavya Model Residential School, Nuapada.
After thorough negotiation, the accused was convinced to accept Rs 12,000. Thereafter, the complainant reported the situation to the CBI.
Subsequently, the CBI planned a trap on October 07, 2026, to catch the accused red- handed while accepting the bribe amount of Rs 12,000 from the complainant. Presently, the accused is under arrest.
Investigation in the present matter is ongoing.
