CBI arrests MCD inspector for accepting Rs.30,000 Bribery
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested an MCD Inspector posted at Rohini, Delhi on November 08, 2023, for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.30,000 from the complainant.
A complaint was filed against an Inspector of MCD, Rohini, Delhi, who was accused of demanding a bribe. It was stated that the accused demanded a bribe/ undue advantage of Rs.30,000 to 40,000 from the complainant in exchange for the issuing of a license to open a bar/ restaurant in Rohini, New Delhi, and also refused to issue a challan, seal his bar/ restaurant, or obstruct the renewal of the license.
The CBI set up a trap and caught the accused while seeking and collecting a bribe of Rs.30000 from the complainant. Searches are being done at the accused's residence.
The investigation is still ongoing.
