CBI held Officer of National Institute of Unani Medical for accepting Bribe of Rs.50,000
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) held an Administrative Officer of the National Institute of Unani Medicine (NIUM) in Bangalore for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 50,000 from the complainant.
A case was filed against an Administrative Officer at the National Institute of Unani Medicine in Bangalore, who was accused of seeking a bribe of Rs.1.10 lakh from the complainant in order to clear bills.
The CBI set a trap for the accused and caught him red-handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.50,000 from the complainant.
CBI conducted searches at the accused's residence, resulting in the recovery of Rs.2,00,000.
The accused was produced before the Special Judge for CBI Cases in Bangalore and remanded to Judicial custody.
