CBI held Postal Department Employee in Bribery case
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has apprehended a Postal Assistant working in the Office of the Superintendent of Post Office, Dalatonganj, Palamu (Jharkhand), for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 15,000 from the complainant.
On the basis of a complaint, a case was filed against the accused. It was claimed that the accused demanded a bribe in order to file an attestation form and obtain a joining letter for the position of Branch Post Master under Gramin Dak Seva.
The CBI set a trap for the accused and caught him red-handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 15,000 from the complainant.
The accused will be brought before the Special Judge, CBI Cases, Ranchi, on December 19, 2023.
