CBI Uncovers Rs. 1 Crore Corruption Network Inside ITAT Jaipur; Key Officials Arrested:

CBI has busted a bribery-for-favour racket in ITAT Jaipur, arresting an Advocate, a Judicial Member and others, while recovering large amounts of cash and evidence of an organised corruption network.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has recently uncovered a criminal network involving an Advocate, Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT), Jaipur, one Judicial Member, ITAT, Jaipur, an Assistant Registrar, ITAT, Jaipur and other unknown public servants and private individuals. They are all accused of being involved in corrupt activities where they used to settle pending appeals in the ITAT bench, Jaipur, in favour of the assessee or appellant after accepting bribes.
The complaint was registered on November 25, 2025, against the key accused, ITAT Advocate and other members related to the case. The CBI instantly began its investigation thereafter.
On November 25, 2025, the CBI arrested Advocate, Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT), Jaipur, along with the bribe amount of Rs. 5.5 Lakhs paid by the appellant via the hawala network to settle his pending case in its favour. Thereafter, the arrested Judicial Member in ITAT, Jaipur, recovered Rs. 30 lakhs from her official car, along with him, and they also arrested the appellant on November 26, 2025.
During the probe, the CBI team also conducted a search operation at several premises in Jaipur, Kota and other places and detained cash of more than Rs. 1 crore, transaction details, property documents and other incriminating documents indicating a long-organised network.
