CBSE Board Class 10th Result 2025: Previous Year Records Show Girls Generally Outperform Boys; Pass Percentage Above 90%

CBSE Board Class 10th Result 2025: As CBSE Board Class 10th Result 2025 has not been declared yet. As per previous year records, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) generally declares board results for both classes 10th and 12th simultaneously in the mid of May. As per previous year records, girls generally outperform boys with a passing percentage of over 90%. Last year, 2024, the board announced the results on May 13, 2024. In 2023, results were declared on May 12, 2023.

CBSE does not release merit lists as they create an unhealthy competition. The merit list was first stopped from being released in the year 2020 when schools were shut because of COVID-19.

Past Trends:

In academic year 2023-24, the overall passing percentage in class 10th was 93.60. In the year 2024, an increment of 0.48 percentage points was shown in comparison to last year, 2023, when the overall passing percentage was 93.12. However, a reduction of 1.28 points was shown in the passing percentage in the year 2023 in comparison to 2022, which showed a passing percentage of 94.40.

Girls have been constantly outperforming boys over the years. In the year 2024, the passing percentage of girls was 2.04% higher than boys. The passing percentage of girls was 94.75, whereas that of boys was 92.71. While the passing percentage of transgender students has shown an increase in the year 2024 in comparison to 2023. The passing percentage of transgender students in 2023 was 90 and 91.30 in 2024.

In the year 2023, again girls outperformed boys with a passing percentage of 94.25, which was a total of 1.98% more than boys. While boys gained the passing percentage of 92.27. In the year 2022, the passing percentage of girls was 95.21, while that of boys was 93.08. On the other hand, the transgender students gained a passing percentage of 90 in 2022.

In 2023, from all students who appeared for the board examination, 195,799 of them gained above 90%, and 44,297 gained above 95%. In 2022, a total of 3.63 lakh students appeared for the CBSE Board Class 10th Examination.
