Himanshu Agarwal, a shopkeeper’s son from a small hamlet in Bokaro, Jharkhand, is the SAI International School, Bhubaneswar science topper with a 98.6% score on his CBSE Class 12 exams.

When Himanshu found out about his outstanding board scores, “I was too overjoyed,” he remembers. “I ran to my mother in the kitchen to inform her and called my father from his shop for a short celebration.”

With commitment and perseverance, nothing is impossible for this young achiever who came from a lowly home to achieve a top rank in the CBSE board exams.

With a focus on Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB), Himanshu’s academic path reached a new height when he enrolled in Classes 11 and 12 at SAI International School in Bhubaneswar.

Driven by a 100% scholarship given for his exceptional score on the admission exam, he flourished in the school’s dorm setting despite being far from home.

Preparation Strategy for CBSE Examinations

“I was patient during lectures, showed up to class on time, and completed the practical under the right supervision. Every day, I would read at least one story and thoroughly analyze it, the top CBSE student explains.

He developed the habit of studying for six to eight hours every day, and this methodical approach went beyond the confines of the Aakash Institute classroom.

“I would study 2-3 subjects each day and practiced questions on them the next day,” he explains.

Additionally, he would learn the syllabus’s subtopics every day, which helped him achieve a 99 in the physical education subject for CBSE Class 12.

In addition, it was imperative for me to practice and comprehend the ideas of biology, chemistry, and physics. I routinely attended all of the exams to analyze my preparation, and I focused on my weak areas depending on the results,” he says.

Assistant from Family and Teachers

Himanshu’s family and instructors’ steadfast support was a key component of his achievement.

“I used to constantly ask my lecturers to clarify any questions I had. I used to contact them after school hours if I had any questions because I had their phone numbers,” he says.

In addition, he examined and enhanced his study with the help of the shared copies of the test answers with the pupils.

In addition, his family offered a stress-free atmosphere.

“The finest thing, in my opinion, was that my family never put any pressure on me to study. They were the ones who inspired me to set aside tension and have fun while studying, as well as to arrange my days around my free time and take regular breaks,” Himanshu explains.

Sleeping During Moderation

Himanshu was able to find time for leisure despite his demanding academic schedule, albeit in very limited amounts.

“I was pretty interested in watching movies and shows that would keep me away from burnouts,” he acknowledges.

“However, I was very disciplined in my preparation, so I devoted just an hour every day to these activities, mostly after the classes to refresh me so I could keep hustling again,” states the CBSE winner.

Upcoming Ideas

Himanshu wants to become an MBBS student at a renowned university like AIIMS after failing the NEET UG 2024 exam.

His aim and dedication are evident in his declaration, “I want to become a doctor and would like to contribute to the healthcare sector of our country,” which he maintains throughout his academic career.

Suggestion for CBSE Students

Himanshu provides insightful counsel for aspiring top-ranking CBSE students: “Avoid selective study. Try your hand at as many questions as you can. Every day, study. Try each of the practice exams. The most crucial thing is to continue learning since you will notice a lot of different things. Waiting till the last minute and searching for tricks of the trade are not recommended. You have to keep going because it’s a marathon journey,” he continues.

The life of Himanshu Agarwal serves as both a motivating tale of academic achievement and a potent reminder of the advantages of hard work and a nurturing environment.
