CBSE Constitutes a Committee for Developing Parenting Calendar for Session 2025-26

Recently, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released an official notice to form a committee for structuring the parenting calendar for the academic year 2025-26. The motive of the decision is to make the collaboration between schools and parents stronger.

All members of the committee are requested to contribute to this important project and attend the sessions actively. The Board will, over time, communicate more details regarding meeting schedules.

The following are the basic objectives of Developing the Parenting Calendar for Session 2025-26 are as follows:

• To facilitate effective parent-teacher interactions.
  
• Supporting diversified student needs, including adolescents and children with special needs (CWSM and early/middle age groups.
  
• Building a consistent communication framework for dealing with critical milestones, such as results, and behavioural changes.
• Offering timely support and intervention through structured engagement.

“The need for enhanced collaboration between schools and parents is critical in the evolving educational landscape. To achieve this, CBSE intends to develop a structured parenting calendar for the academic session 2025-26,” the official circular states.

• Ms. Minakshi Kushwaha, Principal, Birla Vidya Niketan, Delhi

The below-mentioned will be the respective responsibilities of the formed committee:

• Attend virtual or offline meetings as scheduled by the Board.
  
• Collaborate with the Convener for coordinated action and decision-making.
  
• Develop a comprehensive Parenting Calendar addressing the stated objectives.

Timeline:

• The tentative last date for submission of the recommendations of the committee is 15 March 2025.
