CBSE Denies Paper Leak Claims, Warns Against Fake News The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially dismissed all allegations of a paper leak for the 2025 board exams. In a statement, the board ensured that it is keeping a close watch and taking stern action against those who are spreading false rumors. CBSE reiterated that such unfounded rumours are being spread to generate unwarranted panic among students and parents. As per an official notification by CBSE, certain people are using social media sites such as YouTube, Facebook, and X (previously Twitter) to disseminate false information regarding the paper leak or posting access to the question papers of the exam. The board has assured that those claims are untrue and has asked students and parents not to fall prey to them. CBSE has also recommended that parents lead their children by cautioning them against reading or believing unsubstantiated news because it can throw the examination system into chaos. The board has asked all parties—students, parents, and schools—to keep only an eye on official communications from CBSE posted on its website and verified public sources to get authentic information. For a fair and smooth examination process, CBSE has enforced stringent security protocols. The board has also issued a warning that students who are found to be involved in the dissemination or exchange of false information will be severely dealt with under CBSE's Unfair Means regulations and related sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The CBSE board examinations for 2025 commenced on February 15, with more than 42 lakh students appearing at over 7,800 examination centres in India and overseas. Of these, 24.12 lakh Class 10 students are appearing for exams in 84 subjects, while more than 17.88 lakh Class 12 students are appearing for exams in 120 subjects. The Board has once again assured the students that the examination is taking place with maximum possible security and in a fair way. Everyone is being urged to remain engaged with their studies without unnecessary distraction that is created because of misleading updates.
