CBSE Issuing New Online Capacity Building Program for Counselors and Teachers

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is issuing a new series of Online Capacity Building Programs for counsellors and teachers. The programme is in line with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasises the importance of extensive counselling in the educational system.

The motive of the program is to improve the knowledge and skills of counsellors and teachers in both career counselling and psychosocial counselling. Participating in this will help students search career options for students, set achievable goals, and frame plans for future success.

“Recognising the critical role of counselling in students’ overall development, our expert resource persons will provide guidance and educational advice on relevant topics, ensuring participants gain valuable insights and practical knowledge,” said CBSE in an official notification.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) motivates all counsellors and teachers to take part and utilise the advantage of this brilliant opportunity to further develop their professional capabilities, as per the guidelines of NEP 2020.

Below is the schedule for the online sessions, have a look:

• The CBPs will be organised in online mode and each session will be conducted for the duration of 2 hours.
• Time: 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Points To Keep in Mind

• Link to the live session will be made available on the registration page, 10 minutes before the start of the session.
• Principals, Counselors and Teachers, participating in the session may interact with the Mentor/Resource person and ask their questions.
• CBSE has advised all school teachers interested in achieving knowledge and skills in the topics to the same session.
• All the participants are requested to attend the entire session to gain complete knowledge.
• The certificates will only be provided to the candidate who will attend the entire session and who will fill up the assessment and feedback form which will made available at the post conclusion of the online session.
