Essential:

• Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Pharmacology or Bacteriology or Medicine or Microbiology or Biotechnology from a recognised university or institute.

Experience:

• Candidates must possess a minimum of four years’ experience in drug testing and standardisation and research.

Desirable:

• Doctorate degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Pharmacology or Bacteriology or Medicine or Microbiology or Biotechnology from a recognised university or institute.

For Senior Scientific Assistant:

Candidates must be officers of the Central Government or State Government or Union territory Administrations or autonomous or statutory organisations or public sector undertakings or recognised universities or recognised research institutions:

• Holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department. OR
• With five years’ service rendered after appointment to the post on a regular basis in level 6 (Rs. 35400-112400) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and

Candidates must possess the following educational qualifications and experience:

• Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Pharmacology or Bacteriology or Medicine or Microbiology or Biotechnology from a recognised university or institute.
