Central University of Odisha Announces Scheme of Examination for Non-Teaching Posts Recruitment

The Central University of Odisha, under the aegis of the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India, has released the scheme of examination for the recruitment of Non-Teaching Posts in Groups A, B, and C.

The examination will be conducted in three stages:

Stage I: Objective Type Computer Based Test (CBT)

This stage will comprise five sections, including following:

  1. General Awareness
  2. Reasoning and General Intelligence
  3. Mathematical Abilities
  4. Computer Knowledge
  5. Hindi or English Language.

Each section will carry 20 marks with 20 questions, making a total of 100 marks. The duration of Stage I will be 120 minutes.

Stage II: Descriptive Type Questions

Stage II will include following sections:

  • Essay Writing and Comprehension
  • Letter Writing and Drafting
  • Translation from Hindi to English or vice versa
  • Domain Knowledge.

The total marks for Stage II will be 100, with a duration of 120 minutes.

Stage III: Interview/Skill Test / Trade Test

This stage will be conducted as per the University guidelines and will apply wherever applicable.

General Instructions for Examination (Tier-I):

  • The question paper will be bilingual (English and Hindi), with candidates required to respond in the chosen language throughout.
  • Minimum qualifying marks for Paper I will be 40%. Paper II will only be evaluated for candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks in Paper I.
  • There will be negative marking for wrong answers in Paper I.
  • Admit cards will be issued five days in advance, and no requests for a change in exam city will be entertained.
  • Candidates are advised to adhere to the prescribed qualifications and instructions provided in the advertisement. Any misconduct during the examination will lead to disqualification.
