On 17.01.2022, Chennai Air Customs, arrested two male passenger who arrived by flight AI-906 from Dubai and seized eight Gold Bars concealed in DC Power supply transformer & two Gold chains from them . Total Gold recovered & seized under the CA, 1962 is 1.06 kgs worth Rs 46.92 lakh.
Custom officials found the passengers suspicious and after search found 1.06 kgs gold in DC Power supply transformer worth Rs 46.92 lakh.
Both the passengers are under custody and further investigation is under process.
