Chennai Customs Arrests 3 Passengers at Airport for Smuggling Foreign Currency worth Rs. 24.29 Lakhs On 07.02.2022, Chennai Air Customs arrested 3 passengers who were arriving from Colombo by Indigo flight no. 6E-1207. Those passengers were attempting to smuggle foreign currency worth Rs. 24.29 Lakhs. Customs officials searched those passengers and recovered Rs. 24.29 Lakhs valued foreign currency concealed in their Hand bags and seized under the Customs Act 1962 r/w FEMA. Custom officials seized smuggled foreign currency worth Rs. 24.29 Lakhs.
