Claim PM Kisan 19th Instalment, Complete Your e-KYC Today! The Indian Government recently released the 19th installment of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. The installment was released on 24th Feb 2025. Those farmers who completed their eKYC are eligible to receive the 19th installment. What is Prime Minister Kisan Yojana? The Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) is a government scheme that provides financial help to farmers. In this scheme, eligible farmers get Rs.6,000 per year, which is paid in three installments of Rs.2,000 each. The money will be transferred to their Aadhaar-linked bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). On February 24, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the 19th installment of the PM Kisan Yojana during an event in Bhagalpur, Bihar. Farmers who have not received the Rs.2,000 payment in their bank accounts must complete the e-KYC to get the benefit. Farmer's families who own cultivable land are eligible for the PM-Kisan scheme. To continue receiving financial support without any delay, they should complete their e-KYC as soon as possible. Why is e-KYC mandatory for Farmers under PM-Kisan? Now, e-KYC (Electronic Know Your Customer) is mandatory for all farmers who have registered in the PM-Kisan scheme. This step ensures transparency and prevents misuse. Via e-KYC, farmer's identities are verified, and the funds are directly transferred to the beneficiaries without any middleman. Three Methods to Complete the e-KYC 1. OTP-based e-KYC: PM-Kisan portal or mobile app via an OTP sent to your registered mobile number. 2. Biometric-based e-KYC: Go to your closest Common Service Centre (CSC) or State Seva Kendra (SSK) and finish the procedure with fingerprint scanning. 3. Face Authentication-based e-KYC: Authenticate your identity using the PM-Kisan mobile app through face recognition. How to Check e-KYC Status? The status will be updated within 24 hours. Farmers can check their status through:
  • The PM-Kisan portal (under the ‘Know Your Status’ section)
  • Kisan-Mitra, the PM-Kisan AI chatbot
Support for e-KYC Farmers are able to assist a maximum of 100 farmers in their locality to carry out e-KYC at their doorstep. Besides, the government has permitted state government officials to facilitate e-KYC, with each official able to do so for a maximum of 500 farmers. This was reported in a Press Information Bureau (PIB) press release on February 24, 2025.
