CLAT 2025 Exam Day Guidelines: The Consortium of National Law Universities has successfully issued the exam day guidelines for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025. Candidates who have registered for the CLAT 2025 exam this year can check the officially released exam day guidelines at the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in. As per the official notification, the CLAT 2025 exam is scheduled to be conducted on December 1, 2024, and will be organised in a single shift- from 2 pm to 4 pm.

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is an examination that is conducted as the admission core in 24 national law universities (NLUs) for admission into various courses such as BA LLB, BBA LLB, B.Com LLB and B.Sc LLB and LLM programmes. The CLAT 2025 will overall include 120 objective-type questions. The CLAT 2025 examination comprises subjects like legal aptitude, current affairs, general knowledge, English, maths and logical reasoning at the UG level and LLB subjects at the PG level.

CLAT 2025 Exam Day Guidelines: Bell Timing

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 bell timings are as follows:

  • Candidates are permitted to enter the test Centre premises from 01:00 P.M. onwards and shall be seated at their respective seats in the Hall/Classroom by 01:30 P.M.
  • Once the candidate enters the Hall/Classroom, he/she shall not be permitted to leave the Hall/Classroom before 04:00 P.M.
  • Candidates shall not be allowed to enter the test Hall/classroom after 2:15 P.M.
  • The Test is for 2 (Two) hours duration and shall commence sharp at 2:00 P.M. For PwD/SAP candidates, the Test is for 2 hours 40 minutes – till 4.40 P.M.
  • Candidates shall not be allowed to use the washroom after the commencement of the test.

CLAT 2025 Exam Day Guidelines: Necessary Documents

Candidates who are this year to appear for the CLAT 2025 Exam must carry the below listed necessary documents along with them to the exam centres. Entry into the exam hall is restricted without these documents:

  • Candidate’s Admit Card (In case, if the candidate’s photograph is not clear on the Admit Card, the candidate shall bring a self-attested photograph);
  • Candidate’s Government ID Proof (Candidates shall bring a clear, original Photo ID issued by the Government. The Invigilator will refer to this document to verify the Candidate’s identity);
  • PwD/ SAP candidates shall carry their original Disability Certificate to the Test Centre.

CLAT 2025 Exam Day Guidelines: Acceptable Documents as ID Proof

Candidates are required to carry one government-approved identity proof in CLAT 2025 exam centres, listed below documents are allowed into the exam centres:

  • Aadhaar Card (Should be updated with a contemporary photo.)
  • Passport
  • PAN Card
  • Ration Card / PDS Photo Card
  • Voter ID Card
  • Driving License
  • Photo ID issued by a Recognized Educational Institution
  • Photo Bank ATM Card
  • Kissan Photo Passbook
  • CGHS / ECHS Photo Card
  • Address Card having Name and Photo issued by Department of Posts
  • Certificate of Identity having photo issued by Gazetted Officer or Tehsildar on Letterhead
  • Disability ID Card/handicapped Medical Certificate issued by the respective State/UT Governments/Administrations

CLAT 2025 Exam Day Guidelines: Things Prohibited at Exam Centres

Candidates in CLAT 2025 exam centres are not allowed to carry the below-listed items:

  • Black or Blue Ball Point Pens
  • Transparent water bottle
  • An Analogue Watch
  • Candidates’ Government ID Proof (Kindly see Annexure-I for the list of acceptable Government IDs)
  • Bags or any other items shall not be allowed inside the Test Centre premises
