CRUX of OPT–OUT option given to CA Students for July 2020 Exams
As we all know that Due to COVID -19 ICAI has issued notification as on 15.06.2020 related to CA Exams to be held in the month of July 2020. In this notification ICAI has allowed Opt-out option for Students appearing in May (July) 2020 CA Exams. The ICAI Clarified that “The students (who have already submitted online examination application for May 2020 Examination cycle) shall be allowed to OPT-OUT and carry forward their candidature to next examination i.e. November 2020 examination cycle.”
In this post I am just sharing what scenario has emerged out infront of students now due to opt-out option as mentioned below:
For those students who do not want to give exams in July 2020, but in Nov 2020 you need to select the OPT-OUT option and carry forward his/her candidature to next examination i.e. November 2020 examination cycle. In this case, the examination fees and exemption, if any, of the particular student will automatically be shifted and carried forward to next examination. So stay calm and keep preparing for November 2020 exam.
CRUX of OPT–OUT option given to CA Students for July 2020 Exams
For those students who want to give exams in July 2020 and wish to appear for the same commencing from 29th July 2020 you need to select the Not to OPT-OUT option. If in the coming weeks situation remains favorable Related to conduct of exams and ICAI Conducts July 2020 exams as per the schedule, then just appear for the exams and give your best you will surely clear the exam with good marks.
Remember that situation of pandemic will be reviewed (COVID cases, MHA guidelines, Centre and State Government directions) again by ICAI in first week of July 2020 and if in coming weeks situation goes beyond control due to COVID-19 pandemic situation (Related to conduct of exams) and ICAI is unable to conduct July 2020 exams then don’t take too much stress. Be positive guys you will have another 3-4 months to prepare and to give your best shot which will definitely bring 100% results. Be honest to your preparation and I sincerely hope that you all will come out with flying colors and will have CA prefixed to your name soon.
