Post Name and Vacancies for CSIR-CLRI Recruitment 2023:

CSIR-CLRI is looking for bright individuals to work as Project Assistants, Project Associate-I, Project Associate-II, Junior Research Fellows, and Senior Research Fellows on a temporary basis in a variety of projects. There are 13 vacancies for the allocated post.

Age Limit for CSIR-CLRI Recruitment 2023:

Qualification for CSIR-CLRI Recruitment 2023:

Candidates applying for the CSIR-CLRI Recruitment 2023 must have the following qualifications.

Project Assistant

• Candidate should have a Diploma in Catering Technology / Catering Science from a recognized University/ Institute.
  OR
• Applicant must have a B.Sc in Catering Technology / Catering Science from a recognized University/ Institute.

Project Associate-I

• Candidate must have a B.E / B.Tech in Leather Technology from a recognized University/ Institute.
• Aspirants must have an M.Sc Chemistry / Organic Chemistry / Polymer Chemistry from a recognized University/ Institute.

Desirable:

1. Candidates having 55% and above marks in M.Sc. will be given preference.

Project Associate-II

• Applicant must have an M.Sc. in Molecular Biology / Biotechnology from a recognized University / Institute and at least two years of post-M.Sc. research experience.

Desirable:

Candidates having the following will be given preference:

1. 60% and above marks in M.Sc.
2. experience in the area of recombinant protein optimization, expression, purification and characterization.

Junior Research Fellow

• Applicant must have a M.Sc in General Chemistry/ Organic Chemistry / Biochemistry from a recognized University/ Institute
  OR
• Candidate should have a M.E/ M.Tech in Leather Technology/ Textile Technology/ Chemical Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute and candidates must have qualified CSIR-UGC NET or GATE.

Desirable

1. Candidate having the following qualifications/experience/skills will be given preference:
2. First class or equivalent in M.Sc / M.E / M.Tech will be given Preference.
3. Good academic record with research experience.
4. Expertise in all aspects of purification and characterization.
5. Good analytical skills and knowledge of plant material extraction and characterization techniques.

Senior Research Fellow

• Candidate should have a M.Sc. Medical Biochemistry with at least 55% marks from a recognized University / Institute and one publication in SCI Journal and should have completed at least two years of post M.Sc. research experience.
  OR
• Candidate should have an M.Tech in Biotechnology with at least 60% marks from a recognized University / Institute

Desirable

1. Candidates having experience in the area of Protein Purification, fabrication of biomaterial and its characterization, and mammalian cell culture will be given preference.

Tenure for CSIR-CLRI Recruitment 2023:

According to the official CSIR-CLRI Recruitment 2023 announcement, candidates hired for the positions of Project Assistant, Project Associate-I, and Junior Research Fellow will be given a tenure period of 06 months, while those hired for the positions of Project Associate-I, Project Associate-II, and Senior Research Fellow will be given a tenure period of 01 year.

Salary for CSIR-CLRI Recruitment 2023:

As per the CSIR-CLRI Recruitment 2023 Notification, eligible and willing aspirants may show up for a walk-in interview that will be placed on 27th October 2023 from 9 AM and  1 PM at CSIR-Central Leather Research Institute, Sardar Patel Road, Adyar, Chennai – 600020, with duly filled in Application Form with self-attested photocopies of requisite certificates/ documents along with original certificates for verification, a photo ID card issued by any government agency, such as an Aadhar Card, Voter I-Card, or any Photo ID Card, and two passport-size colour photos.
