CSIR NET 2024: CSIR NET 2024 Revised Exam Date Out; Check Updated Dates

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is going to conduct the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test (CSIR NET) 2024 Exam. The dates of the CSIR NET 2024 have been revised again due to logistical/operational issues. Earlier, the dates were June 25, 2024 to June 27, 2024. The CSIR NET 2024 revised exam dates by the NTA are now from July 25, 2024, to July 27, 2024. The dates were announced by the Human Resource Development Group, a part of CSIR, on the official website.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will then release the admit card for the CSIR NET 2024 Exam. The admit card will be available on the official website, three days prior to the exam date. It is compulsory to carry the admit card to the exam centre. The CSIR NET 2024 admit card will be uploaded on the official website, i.e., csirnet.nta.ac.in. The information on the admit card will be related to the exam, like exam time, reporting time, centre name, exam date, etc.

The exam will be held in online mode, i.e., in computer-based mode. The purpose of the exam is to assess an Indian national qualification for the posts of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor, and PhD programs in Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean, and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences.

The UGC NET for Junior Research Fellowship, appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to PhD degree courses were cancelled a day after the test was held on June 18 amid fears that the “integrity of the examination might have been compromised.” Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan later informed us that the question paper was leaked on the darknet and circulated on the Telegram app. The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, UGC-NET, was already scheduled for June 25–27, 2024, but it was postponed due to unavoidable circumstances as well as logistic issues.
