CUTN Recruitment 2022: Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) invites applications from eligible candidates for the post of Professor, Assistant Professor and Associate Professor under various departments. There are a total of 22 vacancies for the given posts. The number of posts indicated in this advertisement is tentative.
Interested candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria can apply through Samarth Portal by e-application. After submitting the online application form candidates have to take a printout and send their application form to The Joint Registrar Recruitment Cell Central University of Tamil Nadu Neelakudi Campus, Thiruvarur – 610 005, Tamil Nadu on or before 19th December 2022. Candidates belonging to UR/OBC and EWS categories have to pay Rs. 750 and candidates belonging to ST/SC have to pay Rs. 500.
The last date for submitting the online application through Samarth Portal is 7th December 2022. No applications will be accepted after the stipulated date. Incomplete/False applications will be REJECTED.

For Professor (Humanities, Law, Social Sciences, Sciences, Education)- An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the criteria given in Annexure – IV of the official notification.
A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college as an Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and/or research experience at an equivalent level at the University/National Level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidates OR
An outstanding professional, having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/allied/applied disciplines, from any academic institutions (not included in A above)/industry, who has made a significant contribution to the knowledge in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence provided he/she has ten years experience.
For Associate Professor (For Social Sciences, Sciences)- A good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.
A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point scale, wherever the grading system is followed).
A minimum of eight years of experience in teaching and/ or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of an Assistant Professor in a University, College, or Accredited Research Institution/industry with a minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of Seventy Five (75) as per criteria given in Annexure-IV of the official notification.

Interested candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria can apply in the prescribed format available on the official website and send their duly filled-in application form to The Joint Registrar Recruitment Cell Central University of Tamil Nadu Neelakudi Campus, Thiruvarur – 610 005, Tamil Nadu on or before 19th December 2022.
i. Selection will be made on the basis of the candidate’s academic record, teaching & research experience, and performance in the interview. The University may utilize seminar /colloquium and/or any other modes as a method of selection.
ii. Reservations for SC, ST, OBC, EWS candidates and Persons with Disabilities exist as per guidelines of the UGC/GOI. Candidates applying for the Reserved posts should clearly state to which category they belong. They must also enclose a Certificate issued by Tahsildar/Mandal Revenue Officer/ Competent authority as proof to this effect.
iii. Candidates serving in private institutions are not eligible for pay protection, in case of their selection and joining.
iv. Candidates who have been awarded Ph.D. from foreign Universities should enclose an “Equivalence Certificate” issued by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi, without which their candidature will not be considered and their application will summarily be rejected.
