Police in Dehradun have arrested 20-year-old Sahil Khan for making an offensive comment on Facebook related to the Pahalgam terror attack and a temple in Dharampur. Khan, who works as an auto driver and lives in Deep Nagar near Shiv Mandir, was arrested after a local resident named Karan filed a complaint on April 26. The complaint stated that Khan had made objectionable comments on a shared Facebook post about the demolition of an illegal religious structure at Doon Hospital. A video circulating on social media appears to show Khan being beaten, his face blackened with ink, and being paraded in public before police took him into custody. The authenticity of this video has not been confirmed. Police have warned that they are monitoring social media platforms and will take legal action against anyone posting content that could disturb social harmony in the area.
