The Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, Services Department (Branch II), has issued an Order No. 34 (No. F.3(1)/2/2026/TP/S-I1), dated April 23, 2026, announcing a major reshuffle in the administrative department. The order has announced the transfer and posting of over 50 Grade-II (DSS)/Assistant Section Officer (ASO) officials into new departments with immediate effect.
As per the order, the officials who have suffered the transfer mainly pertain to the Departments of Trade and Taxes (DT&T), the CEO, Education (EDN), and Services (SER). The Department of Trade and Taxes (DT&T) has faced a major reshuffle.
The officials have been shifted to new departments, including Education (EDN), Services (SER), Lieutenant Governor Secretariat (LGSEC), Health & Family Welfare (H&FW), Law & Justice (L&J), NCC, PAO, and Urban Development (UDEV).
This large-scale reshuffle is aimed at avoiding long postings in the same department and bringing fresh oversight to different departments. The department has warned that the officials who do not comply with the order can suffer serious consequences.
The copies of the present order have been sent to several key offices, including the chief secretary, the chief minister's office, and all concerned department heads for information and necessary action.
