Department of Posts Recruitment 2025: The Department of Posts is inviting applications from willing, eligible, and qualified candidates for the position of Staff Car Driver (Ordinary Grade) (General Central Service, Group C, Non-Gazetted, Non-ministerial) on a Deputation/ Absorption basis. The chosen applicants will be placed in Central, MMS, Chennai, Southern and Western regions. In accordance with the official notification of the Department of Posts Recruitment 2025, there are a total of 25 vacancies open for the aforementioned position. The selected candidates will be paid monthly remuneration at Rs. 19900 (Level-02 in the pay matrix as per the 7th CPC). The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation/ absorption shall be not exceeding 56 years as of the closing date of receipt of applications.
Following the official notification of the Department of Posts Recruitment 2025, candidates applying for the above-mentioned post must have cleared class 10th from a recognized board or institute and must have good knowledge of Motor mechanisms (the candidate should be able to remove minor defects in the vehicle). The hired candidates for the position of Staff Car Driver will be engaged on a probation basis for two years. The period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other Department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed three years. Rs.5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.1800 (Level 1 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC) in the Department of Posts who possess valid Driving Licence for light and heavy Motor vehicles and on the basis of a Driving test to assess the competence to drive light and heavy Motor vehicle.
