DGGI Arrests VRL Operator for GST Evasion Worth Rs. 13.41 Crore The Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI), Jaipur Zonal Unit, has held the operator of VRL Corporation for evading GST amounting to Rs. 13.41 crore. The Accused, named Gopal Rawat, was arrested after an investigation revealed that he was selling goods without proper billing and at prices less than the actual price. Rawat was taken to the Economic Offences Court, which decided to keep him in judicial custody. The case involves selling goods at low prices and without proper invoices. GST officers also raided VRL Corporation and its other related companies, which were involved in the production of refined oil in Jaipur and Kishangarh. At the time of inspection, the accused voluntarily paid Rs. 1.83 crore right away. DGGI officers are still investigating to find out how big the tax evasion really is and if more people are involved in this scam.
