The Directorate General of GST Intelligence(DGGI) invites applications for the appointment of Intelligence Officers on loan basis at DGGI, Chandigarh Zonal Unit, Chandigarh.
The Chandigarh Zonal Unit is in the process of drawing a panel of willing and suitable candidates for appointment as Intelligence Officers, on loan basis at DGGI, Chandigarh Zonal Unit and its Regional Units at Shimla (Baddi) and Jammu, respectively.
The Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) is a law enforcement agency under the Ministry of Finance responsible for fighting tax evasion in India. It was founded in 1979 as the Directorate General of Anti-Evasion and was later renamed the Directorate General of Central Excise Intelligence. The agency was renamed as Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) after the introduction of the Goods and Services Tax. The agency is part of NATGRID. The organisation is staffed by officers of Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs.

Intelligence Officers (loan basis)
a) Complete bio-data and willingness of the officers alongwith history of posting;
b) ACR/APAR grading for the last five (5) years fully verified and attested by the Additional/Joint Commissioner;
c) Vigilance Clearance;
d) NOC from the office of the Pr. Chief Commissioner/Chief Commissioner to relieve the officer in the event of his/her selection.
The initial appointment would generally be for a period of 2 years, in case of officer selected and appointed. Further extension may be considerate by Cadre Controlling Authority.
1. It is requested that the vacancy circular may kindly be brought to the notice of all the formations under your jurisdiction and the applications of willing officers may kindly be forwarded to this Unit for further necessary action.
2. The Pay & Allowances would be drawn by their parent Commissionerate and they would not be entitled to any Special allowance/Deputation allowance, etc. Residential accommodation is not offered by this Directorate.
3. The officers willing to be considered for the above posts may send an advance copy of their willingness.
