Age Limit for DOT Recruitment 2023:

As mentioned in the official notification of DOT Recruitment 2023, candidates should not be more than 64 years as on the closing date of the application.

Salary for DOT Recruitment 2023:

According to the official notification of DOT Recruitment 2023, the selected candidates for the post of Engineer will be paid a monthly salary on Level-10 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix and for the post of Junior Wireless Officer will be paid a monthly salary on Level-06 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix.

Qualification for DOT Recruitment 2023:

In accordance with the official notification of DOT Recruitment 2023, the essential qualification is listed below-

For Engineer-

• Degree from a recognized University in Telecommunication Engineering or Electrical Engineering with Radio Communication or Electronics or Telecommunication as a special Subject. OR
• Master’s Degree in Science with Physics and Radio Communication or Electronics or Telecommunication as a special subject. OR
• M.Sc degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics, or Radio Engineering as the subject. OR
• Degree in Engineering from a University incorporated by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as Universities under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 (3 of 1956). OR
• Passed Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institutions of Engineers (India). OR
• Obtained a degree or Diploma in Engineering from such foreign University or college or institution and under such conditions as may recognized by the Government for the purpose from time to time. OR
• Passed Associate Membership Examination Part II and III or Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India. OR

  Passed Associate Membership Examination Part II and III or Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India. OR

• Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London held after November 1959.

For Junior Wireless Officer (JWO)-

• Diploma in Engineering in the field of telecommunications or Electrical or Electronics or Radio Communications from a recognized university or Institute or Board.

Desirable-

• Degree in engineering or Technology in the fields of Telecommunications or Electrical or Electronics or Radio Communications from a recognized university or Institute. OR
• Certificate in maritime mobile or Acro-Mobile communications from a recognized university or Institute.
• Two Years Experience in the operation and Maintenance of Radio Communications equipment in Government or Private sector listed organizations.
• Corporate entities listed on the national stock exchanges or companies with public shareholdings.

Eligibility Criteria for DOT Recruitment 2023:

As given in the official notification of DOT Recruitment 2023, the required eligibility criteria are listed below-

• The candidate should have retired/ going to retire (within 2 months) from Central Government Ministries/Department, its attached/subordinate Offices have experience of functioning in Govt. offices.
• The candidate who has retired/ going to retire (within 2 months) from the post of Engineer/Junior Wireless Officer (JWO) or equivalent is eligible for engagement on a contract basis on respective posts.
• The candidate should have good communication and interpersonal skills, fair knowledge of computer applications such as MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint etc.

Tenure for DOT Recruitment 2023:

As stated in the official notification of DOT Recruitment 2023, the assignment is made on a contract basis and the selected candidates will be engaged for a period of 01 year, which may be extended further depending upon the requirement of the Department of Telecommunications and the performance of candidates but it will not be extended beyond 65 years of age.

Selection Process for DOT Recruitment 2023:

According to the official notification of DOT Recruitment 2023, the selection will be based on an interview. The shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.
