Steps to Downlaod the Justification report and convert theJustification Report text file into excel:

– Loging to https://www.tdscpc.gov.in from your User id and password.

– Then Download the zip file from’Requested Downloads’ screen and save to your Computer or Laptop.

– Unzip the file using Winzip.

Password to unzip is ‘JR_<TAN>_<FormType>_<Quarter>_<FY>’, e.g., JR_DELAA1235A_24Q_Q3_2012-13. Thiswill save the Justification Report as a text file.

– Download the macro utility forJustification Report from the above mentioned link.

– Double-click the utility, excel sheet will open

– Click on ‘Enable Content’ in thewarning message to enable macros

– Select the Justification Reporttext file and the folder to save the output excel file and click on button’Generate TDS CPC Justification Report’

– The text file will be convertedinto excel spreadsheet and saved in the selected folder

– Open the Justification Report excelfile from the folder in which it has been saved

2.) What is Justification Report

Justification Reportconsists of detailed information about the various defaults / errors that needs to be rectified by the deductor by filing correction statements and payment of the necessary interest / fees / other dues.

Deductor logs in to TRACES.

Go to Default tab.

Select “Request for Justification Report Download”

Select financial year, Quarter, Form Type and Click on go.

If status is available then select the row and click on download manager.
