DRDO Recruitment 2022 for Consultant: Check Post, Qualification, and Other Details
DRDO Recruitment 2022: Instruments Research and Development Establishment (IRDE), under the DRDO is seeking applications from retired officials from the Central Government/State Government/ PSU/ Autonomous Bodies having considerable experience in the functioning of Central Government Ministries/ Departments for their appointment to Consultant Position on a short-term contract basis. There is only one vacancy for the Post as of now. The selected candidate will be initially appointed for a duration of one year which may be extendable for a second year, as decided by the competent authority. The maximum age limit for all categories of retired Govt. employees to be eligible for applying to this Post will be 63 years as on the closing date of application as per the DRDO Recruitment 2022 Notification. A fixed monthly amount shall be admissible, arrived at by deducting the basic pension from the pay drawn at the time of retirement to the Pensioners. The non-pensioners shall be paid a maximum consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 60,000.

Applications are invited for engagement as Consultant on a short-term contract basis at IRDE, DRDO. There is only one vacancy for the Post.

The following officials are eligible to apply for the above post:
a) Officers/Officials who have retired from Central/State Govts. PSUs. Autonomous Bodies, Universities, Govt. R&D Organizations and possessing practical knowledge and experience in the field for which he/she is applying (as per TOR).
b) Persons possessing experience of having worked with DRDO would be accorded preference during selection /appointment.
c) He/She should have effective communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills with a strong flair for an in-depth examination of his/her areas of work.
The eligible candidate should have knowledge of Laser source design, Thermal management of high repetition rate laser sources, and experience in developing diode-pumped lasers and OPO-based tunable lasers besides Project planning and coordination.
(a) Remuneration for Pensioners: A fixed monthly amount shall be admissible, arrived at by deducting the basic pension from the pay drawn at the time of retirement.
(b) Remuneration for Non-Pensioners: The selected candidate shall be paid a maximum consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 60,000.
