DRI seized Herion worth Rs. 62.58 Cr in Dimapur
The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized heroin worth Rs 62.58 crore in Dimapur on December 8. The DRI announced the seizure of contraband from a suspect in a Mahindra Bolero, on its official Twitter account.
The DRI stated that, during an extensive search of the vehicle, 17 packets of heroin weighing 8.94 kg were discovered concealed inside the front door panel and inside the dashboard. In the illegal international drug market, heroin is worth Rs. 62.58 crore.
It further clarifies that two people had been arrested in connection with this.
