Overview:

Uber is hiring an experienced Associate Analyst – Central Ops at their Gurgaon location. As an Associate Analyst in the Central Operations team, you will help drive the analysis behind company-wide decisions related to operations, process, and optimization. The right person for this job should have excellent analytical skills, excellent time-management and organizational habits, and ability to clearly communicate and present information. This role will be in the service quality domain solving for delightful platform experience for riders & drivers and will touch topics like cancellations, cherrypicking, quality & many other areas where a ride experience gets broken. You will provide valuable insights, scope potential solutions and partner with operations teams on implementation.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Ideal Candidate should be able to:

Drive analysis on region-spanning projects and important strategic decisions

Coordinate with other members of the Operations Team to measure the impact and efficiency of new products and business processes

Develop analytical frameworks to support the company in new markets and products

Identify operational weaknesses and help improve or innovate new processes to keep local teams as efficient as possible

Create impactful data and statistical analytics to understand driver behaviour, impact of feature launches & business impact of experience.

Eligibility:

BA/ BS in Economics, Business, Engineering, or other quantitative focus

1+ years of investment banking / consulting / analytical or related experience; high-growth analytics or operations experience a plus

Excellent communication and organization skills. Can work freely with everyone from an associate to senior leadership

Like to take initiative – the ability to self-serve, investigate and get the data we require will make you much more effective in this role.

Excellent Excel / data management skills – the right person for this job brings deep knowledge (and the understanding that there’s always more to learn).

SQL experience a plus.

Data modelling, experience with statistical analysis, tool and techniques a double plus!
