The CBIC Chairman Vivek Johri via monthly news letter notified that DGGI recovers Rs.114 Cr in the matter of Failure to discharge GST on Payment of Commission Agents on RCM basis.
On the anti-evasion side, officers of the Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) detected a case of failure to discharge GST liability on the commission paid to agents under reverse charge mechanism. The amount evaded is estimated to about Rs. 126 Crores. Sustained investigation and consultations with the taxpayer subsequently led to the recovery of Rs.114 Crores. Kudos to the officers for their excellent work.
