Good News for CA Students: ICAI Increases Scholarship Amount for CA Students

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has come up with some Good news for all CA students. Recently, the Council in one of its meetings has decided and approved to boost scholarship awards for students to support their academic journey. The corpus fund of ICAI has been increased from Rs 100 crores to Rs 500 crores.

Merit Award For Final Year Students

Rank Holders of the Intermediate Examination from 1st to 10th ranks will be awarded an amount of Rs 5,000 per month; earlier it was Rs 2,500 per month.

Scholarship for Economically Needy Students of Final Year

Rank Holders Of Intermediate Examination from 11th to 50th ranks will be awarded an amount of Rs 4,000 per month. Earlier, it was Rs 2,000 per month. Additionally, the parental income has been increased to Rs 5 lakhs per annum from Rs 3 lakhs per annum.

Scholarship for Economically Needy Students of Intermediate and Final Year

The Amount of the Scholarship for the economically weaker students doing CA Inter and Final is now Rs 2,500 per month, and previously it was Rs 1,500 per month. The Parental income limit is now Rs 5 lakhs per annum. Previously, it was Rs 3 lakhs per annum.

Scholarship for Economically Needy Students of Foundation Course

The main purpose of this is to provide financial benefits to the economically weaker students doing the Foundation Course by awarding Rs 1,500 per month. The parental income limit is upto Rs 5 lakhs per annum.
