Govt Appoints DCLCs as Offence Compounding Authorities Under OSHWC Code, 2020

The Ministry of Labour and Employment under the Government of India has made the appointment of Deputy Chief Labour Commissioners (Central) across different regions of the country as officers responsible for the composition of offences under the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions (OSHWC) Code, 2020.

These officers will have authority within their specified jurisdictions to handle and settle certain offences as allowed under the law.

The Labour Ministry has taken this action in exercise of its powers granted under sub-section (1) of section 114 of the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions (OSHWC) Code, 2020 (37 of 2020), and announced the same through a Notification No. S.O. 2507(E), dated May 13, 2026.
