Centre Appoints Regional and Assistant Labour Commissioners as Registering Officers Under OSHWC Code 2020
The Ministry of Labour and Employment under the Government of India has made the appointment of certain Regional Labour Commissioners (Central) and Assistant Labour Commissioners (Central) as Registering Officers for establishments where the Central Government acts as the appropriate authority.
The Labour Ministry has taken this action in exercise of its powers granted under clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions (OSHWC) Code, 2020 (37 Of 2020), and announced the same through a Notification No. S.O. 2505(E), dated May 13, 2026.
The aforesaid notification is a replacement to earlier Notifications Nos S.O. 4195(E) dated December 28, 2016; S.O. 4198(E) dated December 28, 2016; S.O. 4200(E) dated December 28, 2016; S.O. 4290(E) dated November 28, 2019; S.O. 4293(E) dated November 28, 2019 and S.O. 4295(E) dated November 28, 2019.
