GPSC Recruitment 2024: The Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) is accepting applications from suitable candidates for the posts of Welfare Officer, Assistant Professor in Harmonium, Associate Professor in Allied Health Science Courses in Optometry, Associate Professor in Allied Health Science Courses in Medical Imaging Technology, Lecturer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Scientific Assistant cum Photographer in Forensic Science Laboratory, Dy. Town Planner Associate Professor in Architecture, Deputy Director of Education/ Deputy Director and Senior Orthopaedic Surgeon in ESI Scheme. The chosen candidate will be paid a salary of up to Rs.67000 per month. Based on the official notification of GPSC Recruitment 2024, the applicant must have Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D) in Optometry from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission.

Scale of Pay for GPSC Recruitment 2024:

In accordance with the official notification of GPSC Recruitment 2024, the scale of pay is mentioned below:

  • For Welfare Officer by Transfer on Deputation-The selected candidate will get a salary as per pay matrix level-6.
  • For  Assistant Professor in Harmonium- The selected candidate will get a salary between Rs. 15,600-39,100 plus 6,000(pre-revised) (As per revised pay matrix level 10).
  • For  Associate Professor in Allied Health Science Courses in Optometry , Associate Professor in Allied Health Science Courses in Medical Imaging Technology and Assistant Professor in Allied Health Science courses in Optometry – The selected candidate will get a salary between Rs. 15,600 to Rs. 39,100 plus 6,600 (pre-revised) (As per revised pay matrix level 11).
  • For Dy. Town Planner- The selected candidate will get a salary on level -10.

Age Limit for GPSC Recruitment 2024:

According to the official notification of GPSC Recruitment 2024, the age limit is given below:

  • The candidate’s age limit should not exceed 45 years for all posts except Deputy Director of Education/ Deputy Director of Adult Education/Director, State Institute.

Essential Qualification and Experience for GPSC Recruitment 2024:

In order to apply for GPSC Recruitment 2024, the required qualifications and experience is stated below:

For Associate Professor in Allied Health Science Courses in Optometry-

  • The candidate should have a Master’s Degree in Optometry/ Master of Philosophy in Optometry (M. Phil) from a recognized University.
  • The candidate should have Five years teaching Experience in concerned speciality as Assistant Professor/Lecturer.
  • Knowledge of Konkani.

Desirable:-

  • The candidate should have Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D) in Optometry from an University recognized by the University Grants Commission.
  • The candidate should have Independent published work of high standard and should have knowledge of Marathi.

For Lecturer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery-

  • A qualification included in Part I or Part II of the Schedule to the Dentists Act, 1948 (16 of 1948).
  • The candidate should have Post-Graduate qualification in Dentistry i.e. Master of Dental Surgery in concerned speciality/subject from a recognized institution or equivalent.
  • The candidate should be registered with the Dental Council.

Desirable

  • One year teaching experience after post graduation in a recognized Institute.
  • Three years experience as Registrar/Tutor/Senior Resident/Demonstrator in the concerned speciality of Dentistry in a recognized Dental College/Medical College with Dental Wing/Dental. Institution and should have Knowledge of Marathi.

For Scientific Assistant cum Photographer in Forensic Science Laboratory-

  • The candidate should have a Degree in Science with at least second class from a recognised University. (ii) Diploma in Photography or Certificate course in Advanced Photography from a recognized Institution.
  • The candidate should have Knowledge of Konkani.

Desirable-

  • The candidate should be Computer literate.
  • The candidate should have Knowledge of Marathi.

For Senior Orthopaedic Surgeon in ESI Scheme-

  • A recognized medical qualification included in the First and Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 .
  • Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
  • The candidate should have Post-graduate degree in the speciality concerned.
  • Three years work in a responsible position concerned with their speciality after post-graduation degree.
  • The candidate should have Knowledge of Konkani

Desirable

  • The candidate should have Knowledge of Marathi.
