It was stated that Oil Trader's GST registration number had been cancelled. A bribe of Rs. 5,000 is requested to restart it. "GST Assistant Commissioner was not found during the action, the accused ran away from the office", an anti-corruption official stated. According to Anti-Corruption Inspector Sanjay Yadav, Amar Chand Sharma, a resident of Kahrai, Tajganj, owns an oil company. He had complained about his GST registration number being closed. Manish Kumar, a private employee, is requesting a bribe of Rs. 5,000 to get it started. Manish Kumar, a private employee, works for Pravesh Kumar, the GST Assistant Commissioner. As soon as the employee accepted the bribe, the squad caught him red-handed. As soon as the accused was arrested, there was panic in the office. According to the GST Inspector, many persons left the office and fled. A case is being registered against the accused in Sikandra police station under the Prevention of Corruption Act. The accused presented in the Anti-Corruption Court in Meerut on Saturday.
