GSTN Introduces New Form GST DRC-03A

The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) has launched a new Form GST DRC-03A on the GST portal for taxpayers. This form will simplify the process of reconciling voluntary payments with demand orders.

Form GST DRC 03A has been introduced in the GST portal, is an important tool that allows taxpayers to allocate the payments made under Form GST DRC-03 to specific demand liabilities in their Electronic Liability Ledger. Taxpayers frequently make voluntary payments or settle amounts in response to notices, and Form DRC-03A ensures that these payments are properly applied to the relevant tax demands.

Taxpayers must enter the DRC-03’s ARN, as well as the necessary demand order number, in DRC 03A. Taxpayers will be allowed to offset DRC-03 payments against any outstanding demand. The Form GST DRC-03A can only accept DRC-03 forms with a payment cause of ‘Voluntary’ or ‘Others’. When the adjustment is made, appropriate entries will be automatically placed in the taxpayer’s liability ledger to reflect the changed status of the demands.
