• The applicant must have a recognized medical qualification included in the first or second Schedule or Part-II of the third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 now National Medical Commission Act, 2019. Holders of Educational Qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in subsection (3) of Section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 now the National Medical Commission Act, 2019.
• The applicant must have a postgraduate degree in the concerned speciality M.D. or M.S. (Anaesthesiology), F.F.A.R.C. (by examination with Anaesthesiology as a special subject, Speciality Board of Anaesthesiology (U.S.A.)or its equivalent qualifications.
• The applicant must have atleast 5 years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in the concerned speciality, failing which an Assistant Professor has six years of teaching experience as Assistant Professor and Lecturer combined which shall include four years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in the concerned speciality after post-graduation. Provided that in all cases the incumbent must possess atleast five years of teaching experience after post-graduation in the concerned speciality.

Desirable Qualification-

• Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.
• Minimum of four Research Publications indexed in index Medicos / National Journal and one Research Publication in International Journal.

Selection Process for HPPSC Recruitment 2025:
