Hurry Up Taxpayers File Your ITR Today The extended due date to file Income Tax Return for AY 2021-22 is 15th March, 2022. If you haven't file your ITR, file it today. Income Tax Department tweeted "Were you liable to get your accounts audited? If yes, file your return for AY 2021-22, today! The extended due date to file ITR for AY 2021-22 is 15th March, 2022."

Steps to file ITR:

Step 1: To file ITR ,visit the e-filing website https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal Step 2: Register or Login to e-file your returns

• If you have previously registered on the portal, click the 'Login' Here' button.
• If you have not yet registered on the portal, click the 'Register' Yourself' button.

Step 3: Click on 'Taxpayer,' then enter your PAN information and click 'validate.' Then, press the 'Continue' button. Step 4: Provide some information such as your name, address, gender, residential status, date of birth, and so on. Step 5: Enter your email address and registered phone number. Step 6: Once the form has been filled up, click on ‘Continue’ button. Step 7: To verify your details a 6-digit One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your registered mobile number and email address. Step 8: Enter the OTP and follow the instructions to successfully complete the registration process. Step 9: Once the OTP has been confirmed, a new window will open in which you must verify the information you have provided. If any of the information provided is incorrect, you can change it, and another OTP will be sent to validate the change. Step 10: The last step will be to create a password and secure login message.. Step 11: Click on ‘Register’ button then you will receive an acknowledgment message stating that the registration process has been completed successfully.
