ICAI Announces Requirements for Applying for November 2022 Exams; Check Details
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the eligibility requirements for applying for November 2022 exams.
Candidates who intend to take the tests in November 2022 are recommended to check their status at the Self Service Portal (SSP) and confirm that they are eligible before filling out the exam forms at SSP.
a. Candidate must be enrolled in the Foundation Course before August 14, 2022, or earlier.
b. As of the date the exam form was filled out, the candidate was transformed from CPT to Foundation.
c. The applicant must possess either
1. Through CPT/PE-I/Entrance/ Foundation
If you registered for Intermediate based on passing CPT/PE-I/Entrance/Foundation, you must have completed an 8-month study programme before the first day of the month in which the exam will be given (November 1st, 2022), meaning you must have registered on or before the deadline of March 1st, 2022. Or;
If you have converted from IPCE, Intermediate (IPC), Intermediate(Erstwhile), PE-II, or PCE to Intermediate, you must have completed 8 months of study as of the first day of the month in which the exam will be held (November 1, 2022), i.e., you must have registered on or before the deadline of March 1, 2022.
a. Candidates need to have signed up for the final new course or converted.
b. As of the date the exam application form was submitted, the candidate must have successfully completed the required time of articled training, which is either 3 years or 312 years, depending on the situation. Or,
The candidate must be scheduled to finish the required amount of articled training—3 years or 312 years, depending on the situation—including any unpaid time off on or before October 31, 2022. Or,
The candidate must be in service as of November 1, 2022, serving the final twelve months of articled training, including any excess leave, and scheduled to finish their third year by October 31, 2023, at the latest. (for students in the PE-II stream and those who have switched to the IPCC/IIPCC), Or,
The candidate must be employed as of November 1, 2022, have completed the final six months of their articled training, taking into account any accrued vacation time, and be scheduled to reach their full retirement age by April 30, 2023 (for PCC stream students), Or,
The candidate must already be employed as of November 1, 2022, and must have completed the final six months of training, including any additional leave that may have accrued, by April 30, 2023, or before. (for students in Intermediate/IPCC/IIPCE).
