ICAI creates Guinness World Record with Largest Accounting Lesson

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has created a Guinness World Record with the Largest Accounting Lesson.

The global spotlight converged in New Delhi from the 9th to the 10th of September 2023, as the esteemed Leaders of the world came together under the resounding banner of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ for the most coveted G 20 summit organised under India’s Presidency. In keeping with its theme, the event witnessed India’s resolve among leaders to address global economic concerns and steer the globe towards sustainability. Furthermore, this historic event not only demonstrated India’s capable leadership but also boosted India’s clout on the global scene.

As a country, we have experienced extraordinary growth and development, and our rise is a compelling monument to our commitment to progress, unity, and sustainability. As dedicated participants in nation-building, our profession bears not only a significant but also a tremendous deal of responsibility. ICAI creates Guinness World Record: Ignited the Aspirations of Future Finance Leaders

It gives me great pleasure and joy to inform you that the Institute has left its mark by setting the Guinness World Record for the ‘Largest Accounting Lesson’ ever held at a single location in the world. We reached this astounding milestone during the big event ‘Career in Accounting and Finance for Youth (CAFY) and Super big Career Counselling Programme- Bhavishya ki Raah’ organised by the ICAI Committee on Career Counselling on September 8th, 2023 at JECC, Jaipur. The event drew almost 5000 participants, including students, teachers, principals, and others, and left an unforgettable impact on India’s eager young brains. The event was organised in over 100 different locations with the help of Regional Councils and Branches, and nearly 175,000 students from all around the country participated in this historic occasion.
