ICAI Denies Viral Data Breach Rumours, Assures Students and Members of Complete Data Safety

The Examination Department of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially denied the recent claims circulating on social media about the alleged breach of ICAI’s members' and students' records and examination data. The ICAI has flagged those claims as completely "false, baseless, and malicious".

The ICAI has clarified that they have not circulated any such information officially, and the post going viral on social media these days is fake.

The official ICAI notice reads, "ICAI assures all its stakeholders that there has been no breach of members', students' records and examination data whatsoever as alleged or otherwise."

The institute has also shared a post on platform 'X' clarifying the same. The post says that "ICAI has come across certain posts circulating on social media alleging breach of members'/ students' records and examination data. These claims are completely false, baseless and malicious."

The ICAI has urged all stakeholders not to rely on this fake information and assured them that all the records and examination data of their members and students are safe. All students have been requested to be aware of and safe from such rumours and only rely on the information delivered through official ICAI communications.
