ICAI Elections 2021: ICAI released List of Members who have exercised option Change of Polling Booth Outside the Region

ICAI permitted members to vote for Dec 2021 Elections Outside their region. ICAI released list of members to vote from a city beyond their jurisdiction in Part-A and in Part -B List of Members who have gone overseas and are unable to return to India.

Region-wise List of Members who have been permitted

i) Under rule 6, to vote from a city beyond their jurisdiction; and (Part A)

ii) to vote by post pursuant to the Announcement dated August 31, 2021 [i.e. Members entitled to vote at a polling booth in India but unable to return due to Covid-19) restrictions who have gone overseas and are unable to return to India] (Part B).

Applications submitted from members to vote from a city beyond their regional constituency were evaluated under sub-rule 2 of Rule 6 of the Chartered Accountants (Election to the Council) Rules, 2006. The Institute’s website under “ELECTION – 2021” has a region-by-region list (Part A) of members who have been permitted to vote from other regions.

This list (Part B) also includes the names and addresses of members who were allowed to vote by post as a result of the Announcement dated August 31, 2021, i.e. members who were qualified to vote by poll in India but were unable to return owing to Covid-19 restrictions.

The above-mentioned Lists are made public for the benefit of all candidates and voters. Such voters can access information about their polling booth by clicking on the link https://appforms.icai.org/elections/knowyourbooth2021.html (know you polling booth link)

The list of voters who were allowed to vote from a different polling city/booth within their own Regional Constituency under Rule 5 of the aforementioned Rules is being published separately.
