ICAI Extends Last Date to Register for New Course

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) extended last date to register for new course launched.

We are pleased to inform you that the Committee for the Development of International Trade, Services, and the WTO, in collaboration with the British Council, will be offering online weekend batches of English Business Language courses covering advanced business communication for ICAI members and students beginning on May 16, 2022 for Intermediate, Pre Intermediate, and Upper Intermediate levels.

The English for Work course, offered by the British Council, helps students improve their business English abilities so they can speak confidently in professional contexts. Job interviews, CV or resume writing, describing experience and interests, future plans, work routines and schedules, making arrangements, expressing opinions, handling complaints, email writing, negotiations, figures and statistics, writing business proposals and meeting reports, performance appraisals, managing change and projects, suggesting solutions, and strategic reviews are just some of the topics you could study.

Interested candidates should review the presentation and submit a payment of Rs. 12,390/- by following the link https://learning.icai.org/committee/ceswto/elc/ upto 8th May, 2022.

Following registration, the British Council will assess your level, and you will be entitled to join the appropriate level.

The following are the key aspects of the courses:

• The course fees are Rs. 12,390 (with 18% GST of Rs. 1890).
• Course The duration is 105 hours (18 weeks), from May 16th to September 18th, 2022. (You will have four weeks to begin the course and eighteen weeks to complete it.)
• Each week, you will do 3 hours of online exercises prior to your class, a 55-minute live online class at your convenience, two Live25 teacher-led webinars at your convenience, and 1-hour of online exercises following your class.
• Please keep in mind that you must do this each week; the class and assignments cannot be rescheduled. The lessons are available to schedule at your leisure 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A lesson can be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance.
• In the event of a cancellation before the start of the batch, a 10% charge will be deducted.
• Requirements for infrastructure: You will need a desktop/laptop computer (recommended) or a mobile device (tablet, smartphone) with a solid Internet connection, a headset or headphones with a built-in microphone, and a functional webcam to enter the student portal and join the live online sessions.
• The British Council will conduct a pre-assessment test for all enrolled candidates (fees for assessment is already included in the course fees).
• The British Council will give a certificate upon successful completion of the course if the student completes 67 percent of the assignments and attends 4 out of 6 6-week modules.
• The training is only open to ICAI members and students.
