PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

         Ensure management and operational policies and procedures for operational activities to be efficient and in-line with approved budgetary allocations, and meet all legal statues.
Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organizations fiscal function and performance.
Evaluate and advise on the impact of long term financial planning.
Providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the CEO/President, the Council/committees in performing their responsibilities.
Develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the Institute by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness.
Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline.
Continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of departments/committee on financial issues impacting
department/committee budgets.

 

         Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization i.e. investments, etc.
Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism
Be an advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the Institute may enter.
Establish and implement internal controls, finance policies and procedures, administrative and IT systems to ensure that the organizations day-to-day operational activities are efficient and effective, and are in-line with approved strategic initiatives and budgetary allocations
Works with the CEO and ICAI Council to proactively eliminate financial and legal risk to ICAI.
Ensures that appropriate administrative, financial and IT systems, infrastructure, policies and procedures are developed to support the implementation and evaluation of the organizations strategies
Advises and guides the CEO and ICAI Council on the external landscape with respect to changing governmental legislation that potentially affects and/or changes the financial, administrative and IT requirements in India or otherwise.
Review, draft, implement and monitor internal controls and financial policies and procedures
Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met
MINIMUM AGE45 Years as on 1st September, 2018
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE         Qualified Chartered Accountant with at least 20 years of standing.
Those working in a Government/Statutory/Autonomous set up should hold an analogous pay scale or one level below that advertised. They should be holding charge of key function of strategic level in their current job. Those in private sector should possess similar experience of at least 3 years.
The prior profile should demonstrate that they led a large multi disciplinary team.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS         Ability to lead from front and result orientation
Strong financial management acumen; knowledge of accounting procedures and protocols, budget administration and financial forecasting, data analysis and reporting
Knowledge of Indian Laws
Strong experience in the automation and processing of payments/receipts
Strong human resource management expertise; ability to supervise and mentor staff and engage staff members and inspire credibility, confidence and build consensus
Strong interpersonal skills and the proven ability to provide leadership to a team and to work in a team environment
Ability to plan, organize and lead the implementation of plans and processes
Strong knowledge of HR/Finance /IT/legal functions
Excellent written and oral communication, presentation and negotiation skills
Strong interpersonal skills and the proven ability to provide leadership to a team and to work in a team environment
Demonstrated capacity to think strategically with expertise in complex

 

problem solving, decision making and critical thinking skills, displays good judgment
Effective at proactively assessing and resolving conflicts

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

         Ensure finance processes and procedures are followed within the Region
To develop knowledge and understanding of all finance procedures and policies to ensure they are implemented throughout the Region
Reporting regularly to Chief Financial Officer/Regional Head
Reconciliation of Balance Sheet/ Accounts of Regional office and its branches
Liaise with Head Office Finance Team
Providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist CFO in performing his responsibilities
Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline
Act as Regional advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the Institute may enter at respective Region
Works with the CFO, Secretary and ICAI Council to proactively eliminate financial and legal risk to ICAI
Ensure that all Regional level statutory requirements of the organization are met
MINIMUM AGE40 Years as on 1st September, 2018
