MEF 2026-27: Check Eligibility, Procedure and Last Date

The Professional Development Committee (PDC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has launched the Multipurpose Empanelment Form (MEF) for the year 2026-27. The form can be accessed online at https://meficai.org/. The ICAI has also issued an advisory on the Multipurpose Empanelment Form (MEF) 2026-27, which covers all the information and queries related to the form.
The advisory underlines the eligibility of filing the form online, the procedure of filing, important parameters – grant of credit, details about Unique Code Number (UCN), experience, etc.
Members eligible and willing to file the MEF 2026-27 are requested to first read the complete advisory before beginning the filing process. The due date for the online submission of the form is August 27, 2026. ICAI has encouraged members to submit the form before the deadline to avoid any last-minute difficulties.
This year, the MEF has been launched well in advance to avoid the usual September timelines and to facilitate a smoother and more effective empanelment process.
Members already registered on https://meficai.org/ can log in to the website using their credentials and initiate the MEF 2026-27 filing process. Those who have forgotten their password can click on the "Forgot Password” button to create a new password.
Members who are new to https://meficai.org/, meaning those who are filing the Multipurpose Empanelment Form for the first time, will first need to register themselves for MEF 2026-27 at https://meficai.org/register.
