The ICAI has opened a one-time window from April 1 to April 30, allowing members to generate missed UDINs for documents signed between October 22 and November 22, 2025.

ICAI Opens One-Time Relaxation Window for Generating Missed UDINs
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) UDIN Directorate has made an announcement dated April 01, 2026, informing about the One-Time Relaxation window opened for generating the missed Unique Document Identification Numbers (UDINs) for documents/reports signed during the period between October 22, 2025, and November 22, 2025.
This relaxation has been awarded to members who could not generate their UDIN during the transition to the new UDIN portal. Consequently, as per the announcement made, members are now permitted to generate their UDIN from today, i.e., April 01, 2026.
This One-Time Relaxation window is scheduled to be closed on April 30, 2026, at 12 AM. For any documents or reports that are not covered under the period mentioned above, the current rule will still apply, that is, the UDIN must be generated within 60 days from the date the document is signed.
