The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has published a copy of the Annual Report and Accounts of the Institute for the year ended on March 31, 2026, vide Notification No. 1-CA(5)/77/2026 dated July 31, 2026, in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part III, Section 4.
The concerned authorities had time to publish the copy of the aforesaid report and accounts in the Gazette of India until September 30, 2026, and they have been published well before the prescribed time limit.
The ICAI has taken this action in exercise of its powers granted under sub-Section (5B) of Section 18 of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949. The institute has stated that members willing to get a hard copy of this report at their address can send a request in this regard to the address: Joint Secretary, Council Affairs, ICAI Bhawan, Indraprastha Marg, Post Box No. 7100, New Delhi -110002 (Email: annualreport2025-26[at]icai[dot]in). Also send your membership number and complete postal address along with the request.
The 77th Annual Report underlines the story of how India as a whole nation slowly developed into a leading global economy. It has been emphasised in the report that the426438 is playing a transformative role in reinforcing the profession, a major contribution to the nation's goal of Viksit Bharat.
It has been mentioned in the 77th Annual Report that "ICAI achieved a Guinness World Record through its Career in Accounting and Finance for Youth programme, which reached over 7,400 students, teachers and principals in a single career guidance session."
